Suspected hit-and-run: Woman run over and killed by truck in Jerusalem's Rehavia neighborhood

A woman in her 70s was run over and killed this morning (Sunday) by a truck on Rashba Street in Jerusalem's Rehavia neighborhood. Police have launched an investigation on suspicion of a hit-and-run accident, conducting extensive searches for the driver. MDA teams pronounced her death at the scene.

A woman in her 70s was run over and killed this morning (Sunday) by a truck on Rashba Street in Jerusalem's Rehavia neighborhood. Police have launched an investigation on suspicion of a hit-and-run accident, conducting extensive searches for the driver. The report was received at 10:06 AM via the 101 emergency hotline. MDA teams who arrived at the scene pronounced her death after resuscitation efforts. MDA emergency medics said: "This is a difficult incident, the pedestrian was lying on the road unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. Bystanders at the scene told us she was hit by a truck. We provided medical treatment including resuscitation efforts, at the end of which we were unfortunately forced to pronounce her death at the scene."
