Police in northeastern Brazil arrested this week Jorlan Alves da Silva, 33, while he was disguised as a woman, wearing a dress and a black wig. In an attempt to conceal himself, he was holding a two-year-old child, who is suspected to have been taken at random earlier. Silva is suspected of being a hired and serial killer working for a local crime organization. According to police data, he carried out at least 15 murders in just the last three months. During his interrogation, Silva said he had killed 80 people in his lifetime. According to him, he committed his first murder when he was just a 13-year-old teenager. If it is proven that Silva indeed stands behind 80 murders, he will become the most active and deadliest serial killer in the country's history, surpassing Pedro Rodrigues Filho, the "Brazilian Dexter," who committed 71 confirmed murders.
