The founder of Mellanox, multimillionaire Eyal Waldman, stated on Monday, November 2, that he received approval for negotiations with representatives of Syria and Lebanon. The businessman did not specify who exactly gave the permission. The statement was made at the 'Taglit' conference in Tel Aviv. Waldman also criticized the Israeli government, calling the last four years 'very difficult' and called for a '180-degree turn' in policy. He expressed confidence that problems with neighboring Arab countries are solvable and proposed including Saudi Arabia in the Abraham Accords. Additionally, the businessman spoke about the personal tragedy of October 7—the death of his daughter at the 'Nova' festival—and shared his opinion on the success of the Mellanox deal with Nvidia and the prospects of AI.
