Smotrich: "This is what Israel will look like if Eisenkot comes to power"
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich attacked Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot following the support of the Joint List chairman for the establishment of a Palestinian state. In a post on X, Smotrich claimed this reveals the intentions of the left, and called on voters to choose Religious Zionism.
Finance Minister and Religious Zionism chairman Bezalel Smotrich harshly attacked Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot, following the remarks of Joint List chairman Dr. Yosef Jabarin, who supported the establishment of a Palestinian state. In a post published on X, Smotrich wrote that just two days after Avigdor Lieberman announced his intention to provide a safety net for an Eisenkot government, Jabarin reveals his "dangerous plan to establish a terrorist state in the heart of the State of Israel." Smotrich claimed that Lieberman will ask Jabarin to remain silent and Eisenkot will issue denials, but "the fact that this is what the State of Israel will look like if the left comes to power cannot be hidden." He concluded his remarks with a political call: "This time we don't gamble, we play it safe, and choose Religious Zionism." The statement comes against the backdrop of an interview with Jabarin and Lieberman's declaration of a safety net for a possible Eisenkot government after the elections. Smotrich links the developments and claims they reflect the political direction of the left bloc.
