"Silencing brutally": Semyon on the behind-the-scenes of Channel 13
Semyon Grafman claims that during his time at Channel 13 he received instructions about things he was forbidden to say, and compares this to freedom of speech on Channel 14. He adds that even left-wing media figures contact him in secret. These remarks come against the backdrop of the Ayala Hasson controversy at the public broadcasting corporation.
Media personality Semyon Grafman was interviewed on Channel 14 and addressed the controversy surrounding presenter Ayala Hasson, while claiming that during his past work at Channel 13 he received numerous instructions about things he was forbidden to do. According to him, behind the scenes more serious things occur than those revealed to the public. Grafman refused to disclose the content of the instructions, but said that the difference between a dictatorship and Israeli democracy is that in Israel they know what it is 'better' not to say. He praised the attitude of the editors at Channel 14, where he says he can be himself. Grafman added that even left-wing media figures contact him in secret, but did not elaborate. These remarks come against the backdrop of a confrontation between Ayala Hasson and the management of the public broadcasting corporation, which demanded that she read a pre-approved apology text.
