Shocking scale - Iran has begun a new wave of mobilization

The Iranian regime has launched a massive mobilization: hundreds of thousands of reservists have already undergone training, and authorities plan to increase their number to one million. The 'Janfada' exercises gathered 313,000 people from the IRGC and Basij. The number 313 was chosen due to its symbolism in Shia Islam. Authorities are also training civilians in weapons handling amid an economic crisis and inflation of 84.4%.

The Iranian regime has begun an unprecedented scale of population mobilization. Hundreds of thousands have already undergone military exercises, and authorities intend to increase the number of reservists to one million. In Tehran province, the 'Janfada' ('self-sacrifice') exercises took place with 313,000 participants from the IRGC and the Basij militia. The number 313 was not chosen by chance: in Shia Islam, it symbolizes the number of followers who will accompany Imam Mahdi. Basij commander Hossein Taeb stated that authorities are organizing hundreds of thousands into separate units and training them for land, air, and sea operations. The regime plans to expand this model nationwide to one million participants. Amid the mobilization, Iranian officials warn that deteriorating living standards, unemployment, and rising fuel prices could spark protests. Inflation in Iran reached 84.4 percent in August. The central bank injected $500 million into the system due to currency shortages. The regime is also involving youth and children: television shows weapons handling training, and civilian training centers are opening on the streets. The Supreme Leader's office appointed economist Ehsan Khandouzi as head of the strategic economic committee. Khandouzi advocates for closer cooperation with China.
