Shin Bet reveals: Terrorists from Nablus planned to kidnap a soldier and assassinate Ben Gvir

The Shin Bet and Israel Police uncovered a terrorist infrastructure from Nablus involving two Palestinian terrorists. The two planned an assassination attack on National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir using an explosive drone, along with shooting attacks, car bombs, and the kidnapping of IDF soldiers. Serious indictments have been filed.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Israel Police have cleared for publication that following a complex investigation by the Central Unit of the Judea and Samaria District and the Shin Bet, serious indictments have been filed against two Palestinian terrorists from Nablus. The two established a military terrorist infrastructure and equipped themselves with a vast arsenal of weapons, including M-16 rifles, M-4 rifles, Kalashnikovs, pistols, a shotgun, and large quantities of ammunition. According to the indictment, in 2024 they decided to carry out an assassination attack on National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The plan evolved to use a lethal explosive drone, and one of the operatives attempted to purchase drone parts from China. Additionally, the cell planned shooting attacks, car bombs, kidnapping attacks on IDF soldiers, and recruiting additional operatives. Their detention has been extended periodically, and the Military Prosecutor's Office in Samaria has filed indictments and a request for detention until the end of proceedings.
