During the past night hours, settlers set fire to a mosque and a vehicle in the town of Mukhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, as part of a series of attacks that affected various areas of the West Bank, including road closures, incursions into towns, and theft of tents, in a notable escalation of assaults on Palestinians and their property.
During the past night hours, settlers set fire to a mosque and a vehicle in the town of Mukhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, and also set fire to an olive tree, in an attack that targeted a place of worship and citizens' property. This attack comes within a series of escalating assaults witnessed in various areas of the West Bank on Wednesday dawn. In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers blocked the road leading to the northern Yerza settlement with stones and stole a tent, coinciding with continued pressure on houses surrounding the Aqabat Tayasir area. In southern Hebron, settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, stormed the city of Dura, while others attacked homes in Khirbat Aqwasiyus in Masafer Yatta and began acts of vandalism. Local sources also reported settlers attacking a house in the village of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya south of Nablus. These attacks come in the context of repeated assaults targeting Palestinians, their homes, agricultural lands, and property.
