Settler gangs attacked farmers in the Wadi al-Shaer area east of Salfit on Monday evening, burning two vehicles, assaulting olive pickers in Deir Ballut, and stealing olives from lands in the eastern Mazra'a al-Sharqiya village in Ramallah.

On Monday evening, settler gangs attacked farmers in the Wadi al-Shaer area east of Salfit, burning two vehicles. They also assaulted olive pickers in Deir Ballut west of Salfit and stole olives from lands in the eastern Mazra'a al-Sharqiya village in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate. Local sources reported that settlers beat farmers while they were picking olives in the Wadi al-Ain area. The Wadi al-Shaer area faces repeated attacks including assaults on citizens, their vehicles and lands, theft of olives, cutting and burning of trees, and road closures. In Mazra'a al-Sharqiya, Mayor Abd al-Samad Abd al-Aziz told Wafa news agency that settlers steal olives daily and previously uprooted about 100 olive trees. He added that the land area is about 6,000 dunams planted with olive trees and grapevines, with olive production constituting 90% of the village's total output. He explained that citizens can no longer reach their lands due to ongoing attacks, including beatings, pepper spray, and sheep grazing that damages crops.
