Superintendent Alona Shoshan, head of the Human Resources Division of the Israel Police, is resigning amid an ongoing investigation against her. The investigation, opened in June by the Competition Authority, concerns suspicion of witness tampering in the Ben Gvir associates affair. Shoshan has been suspended from the police in recent months and has not returned to her position. She denies the allegations against her, and has simultaneously filed a complaint against Deputy Superintendent Lior Avudraham, a key witness in the case, on suspicion of sexual harassment, which he denies. So far, three senior officials involved in the affair have resigned: Commander Avishai Mu'alem, Deputy Superintendent Lior Avudraham, and now Superintendent Shoshan. The report details the meeting between Shoshan and Police Commissioner Danny Levy in July, after which it was agreed she would go on leave until the investigation concludes.
