Russia, China and Iran join forces in another sphere

China has launched the International Alliance against Cyber Fraud in Lianyungang, which includes 46 countries, including Russia, while Iran has observer status. Western countries and Israel did not join. Experts see this move as an element of strategic rapprochement between Moscow, Beijing and Tehran.

China has launched the International Alliance against Telephone and Cyber Fraud in the city of Lianyungang (Jiangsu Province). The 46 founding countries include Russia, Vietnam, Laos, Kenya, Cambodia and Pakistan; Iran has observer status. The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Israel did not join. Beijing reported extraditing more than 20,000 suspects in 2026. Experts and Western researchers view the alliance in the context of the rapprochement of the "new axis of evil" — Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, noting the exchange of military technologies, sanctions evasion and efforts to reduce the role of the dollar.
