Rubio: Ukraine attacked ships carrying American oil
Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Ukraine of attacking ships carrying American oil in the Black Sea, and called on Zelensky to end the war. Rubio denied Ukrainian claims that intelligence cooperation had been halted, amid Trump's contacts with Putin.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Ukraine on Monday of attacking ships carrying American-owned energy products in the Black Sea. In an interview with Breitbart, Rubio said many American companies had complained about the damage, emphasizing that there is no need for a situation that would worsen the global energy crisis. Following the incidents, Rubio called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to find a way to end the war. At the same time, Rubio denied Zelensky's claims that the Trump administration had halted intelligence cooperation. Rubio's accusations come amid growing tensions between Washington and Kyiv; recently, President Trump announced the import of diesel fuel from Russia to ease prices in the US, while simultaneously negotiating with Putin to end the war and halting the imposition of new sanctions on Moscow. Trump accused Zelensky of targeting diesel refineries in Russia, knowing that these attacks harm global diesel markets. On the Ukrainian side, it is claimed that access to the Starlink satellite system has been restricted. Rubio assessed that no one is winning this war, which is now focused on the Donetsk region, and the US is ready to play a mediating role.
