Becky was at a work meeting and didn't answer his phone call twice. At the hospital, they fought for his life for 4 hours, but his death was determined. 4-year-old Avital drowned in a jacuzzi during a family vacation in a tower, while Shira was preparing food for her. For 17 minutes she did not supervise her. The two mothers describe terrible feelings of guilt, anger at their surroundings, and a long process of self-forgiveness. Becky says she became more present and patient, answers every phone call and gives extra hugs. Shira is more forgiving and her family channeled the pain into acts of kindness in Avital's memory.
