Iran is urgently rebuilding the Taleghan-2 facility at the military complex in Parchin after two Israeli strikes — in October 2024 and March 2026. Satellite images taken on September 13 captured extensive construction work and measures to enhance protection of the underground structure. According to the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), Iran has installed a protective cover over the damaged underground facility, concealing restoration work. Engineering equipment activity is visible on the site: trucks, bulldozers, pumps, concrete mixers, and cranes. Work began in June 2026. In the first phase, Iran filled bomb holes with concrete, bombs designed to destroy fortified underground structures. On the right side of the facility, a new reinforced concrete section has been built; on the left, another concrete platform has been completed. The reinforced concrete platforms are intended to provide additional protection against shockwaves in a new aerial attack. After the March 2026 strike, an IDF spokesperson confirmed that the facility was used for developing explosives and testing as part of Iran's secret nuclear weapons program, Amad, in the 2000s.
