Riots in France spiral out of control: "There are those who look for any opportunity to take to the streets"

Former Israeli ambassador to France, Daniel Shek, analyzes on 103fm the spread of riots in France from a local student protest to nationwide demonstrations, and points to three groups of protesters: students, political elements, and those who seek any opportunity to take to the streets.

Former Israeli ambassador to France, Daniel Shek, was interviewed on the 103fm program and analyzed the spread of the riots in France. According to him, the events began with a student protest in high schools in the northern suburbs of Paris, who complained about overcrowded classrooms, a shortage of teachers, and outdated study materials. Shek described the population in Saint-Denis as having a high percentage of immigrants, and defined the area as a periphery despite its proximity to central Paris. He divided the protesters into three groups: the students with educational and environmental grievances; political elements exploiting the opportunity; and those who seek any opportunity to take to the streets. Shek noted that politics is present in the background, and that political elements have not missed the opportunity to fan the flames.
