‘Repeating a lie doesn’t make it true’: Israel releases exposé of UN’s bias before General Assembly

Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism and the National Public Diplomacy Directorate launched 'The UN's Lie Industry' campaign, an exposé of systematic bias against Israel at the UN General Assembly. The campaign includes a video depicting UN delegates as parrots repeating 'Blame Israel,' and a website documenting biased UN publications since October 7. The message emphasizes that repeating a lie does not make it true.

Israel launched a campaign titled 'The UN's Lie Industry' on the first day of the UN General Assembly, September 23, 2026. The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism and the National Public Diplomacy Directorate in the Prime Minister's Office produced the campaign, which includes a video and a website. The video depicts the UN General Assembly hall populated by parrots representing countries, repeating 'Blame Israel' until it becomes a choir. The message is 'Repeating lies doesn't make them true.' Minister Amichai Chikli said the UN hall has become an echo chamber for libels against Israel. The website, made with the National Security Council, documents biased information about Israel since October 7, covering topics like information manipulation, false claims of starvation in Gaza, Hamas infiltration into UNRWA, and the fabrication of a genocide narrative. It includes testimonies from UN personnel about internal silencing. National Public Diplomacy Directorate Head Tzipi Hotovely alleged that a large portion of false blood libels come from UN reports, citing the false starvation campaign as an example. The campaign focuses on US and European capitals' policies on Israel and was produced via the Government Advertising Agency (Lapam).
