A security guard at the 'Aria' hotel in Eilat was attacked early Saturday morning after refusing to let a group of young people onto the hotel premises. According to the suspicion, the young people arrived at the entrance, and in response to the guard's blocking, they reacted with verbal violence and one of them physically attacked him with his hands. A 27-year-old resident of Tira was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the assault. During the hearing to extend his detention at the Eilat Magistrate's Court, a significant twist emerged: the suspect was supposed to be under house arrest and had violated it. Judge Berger extended his detention until the next day, noting that there is reasonable suspicion and that there are grounds for detention due to dangerousness stemming from the violation of house arrest and participation in a violent incident, as well as a concern for obstruction of investigation. The suspect is charged with assault by two or more persons, brawling, disorderly conduct in a public place, and violating a legal order.
