Rallies in Morocco in support of "Palestinian steadfastness" and rejection of normalization

Hundreds of Moroccans participated in rallies in several cities on Friday, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejecting normalization with Israel. The rallies took place in Rabat, Tetouan, Marrakech, Ait Melloul, and Agadir, called for by the Moroccan Body for Support and Advocacy. Protesters chanted slogans praising the steadfastness of Palestinian factions and denounced the incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Hundreds of Moroccans participated in protest rallies in several Moroccan cities on Friday, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and rejecting normalization with Israel. The rallies took place in the capital Rabat, Tetouan (north), Marrakech (center), Ait Melloul and Agadir (south), called for by the Moroccan Body for Support and Advocacy, a non-governmental organization. Protesters chanted slogans such as "A Moroccan salute to defiant Palestine" and "Long live the resistance" and "A Moroccan salute, defiant resistance." Participants also denounced the repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and praised "Palestinian steadfastness." Protesters raised pictures of the Dome of the Rock and banners calling for an end to genocide and starvation. These rallies coincide with an escalation of Israeli settler incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque during Jewish holidays, under heavy protection from Israeli forces and military measures in Jerusalem. Israeli measures have hindered the movement of Palestinians between the West Bank and Jerusalem.
