Raids, shelling, and Israeli incursion in southern Lebanon

The Israeli army continued its airstrikes and artillery shelling on towns in southern Lebanon, alongside the incursion of a military force of about 20 soldiers and 4 Merkava tanks towards the Nabaa al-Khokh area in the Hasbaya district, while military talks between Lebanon and Israel continue under American auspices to discuss the implementation of the framework agreement and withdrawal from occupied areas.

The Israeli army continued its airstrikes and artillery shelling on towns in southern Lebanon on Thursday, alongside the incursion of a military force into the Nabaa al-Khokh area in the Hasbaya district. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out a raid on the town of Kfar Tibnit in the Nabatieh district, while the town of Mansouri and the Biyout al-Sayyad farm, south of the city of Tyre, were shelled with heavy 155mm shells. Israeli artillery also shelled overnight the area between the towns of Beit Yahoun and Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district, and targeted the outskirts of the town of Habbarieh in the Arqoub region of the Hasbaya district with 6 consecutive shells. The agency stated that an Israeli military force of about 20 soldiers and 4 Merkava tanks advanced towards the Nabaa al-Khokh area on the outskirts of Habbarieh, firing bursts from machine guns, while conducting search operations in the area. The Israeli attacks coincide with the continuation of technical military meetings between Beirut and Tel Aviv, which began Tuesday in the US state of Florida under American sponsorship, to review the implementation of the 'framework agreement' and discuss the 'experimental zones' from which the Israeli army is scheduled to withdraw in southern Lebanon.
