800 families from across the country have registered within a month for settlement nuclei in the Negev and Galilee promoted by the Religious Zionist Party. 424 families prefer to settle in the Galilee, 196 in the Negev, and 180 are open to both options. The party is preparing to divide the families into nuclei and establish new settlement points as part of the plan by party chairman, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, to Judaize the Negev and Galilee and establish 40 new settlements. The stated goal is to increase the Jewish population in these areas by one million residents. Smotrich welcomed the response and said that the settlement revolution should be moved from Judea and Samaria to the Negev and Galilee, and called not to gamble in the upcoming elections. The party sees the completion of the registration phase as a first step toward implementing the plan.
