The Menachem Begin Heritage Center has announced the four winners of the 2026 Begin Prize: Prof. Miriam Adelson, publisher of 'Israel Hayom', physician and philanthropist; Miriam Amadi, CEO of the Forum of Reservists' Wives; former Finance Minister Yoram Aridor; and the Takana Forum, which works to prevent sexual abuse in the religious community. The prize, awarded for the 26th year, is given for exceptional deeds on behalf of the people of Israel or the State of Israel. The ceremony will be held at the Begin Heritage Center on Tuesday, December 8, 2026, the 28th of Kislev, the fifth night of Hanukkah. The committee's rationale stated that Adelson wins for being an example of responsibility, leadership, and personal sacrifice, and that her work combines practical Zionism with civic engagement. Amadi said that the October 7 massacre shook her world, and that receiving the prize is a great honor. Aridor won for his many years of contribution to Israeli society. The Takana Forum won for standing by victims of sexual abuse.
