US Rep. Jared Moskowitz, the Democratic incumbent, won Florida's newly redrawn Congressional District 25 on Tuesday, defeating Republican challenger Scott Singer. Moskowitz earned around 51.5% of the vote to Singer's 46.4% and will represent a district that runs from Delray Beach down to Miami Beach. Jewish voters make up about 25% of the majority coastal district. Both candidates highlighted their pro-Israel stance during the campaign. In a statement, Moskowitz said he will 'continue confronting antisemitism and hate, whether it comes from the far right or the far left.' He added, 'This district was re-drawn to defeat me. Voters had other plans.' Moskowitz, a graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, helped draft and pass Florida's most comprehensive gun violence prevention law in over 20 years. Singer, a three-term mayor of Boca Raton endorsed by President Donald Trump, ran on keeping taxes low, ensuring strong borders, and cutting waste. Moskowitz will take office on January 3, 2027.
