The Ministry of Education has issued an official directive to schools to prepare for a rapid transition to remote learning in cities and communities along the northern conflict line, and to update procedures in the rest of the country. The directive, signed by the ministry's director general, includes preparations for hybrid learning – a combination of in-person and remote learning – based on the number of standard protected spaces in each school, in the event that the Home Front Command declares a 'yellow' area. In an 'orange' area, an alternative has been added allowing up to 30 students near or inside a protected space, or a 'mother class' of up to 40 students in the same space. The Ministry of Education emphasizes that the directives are part of an ongoing preparation process and do not indicate a new security development.
