The second pilot of Flydubai airline, Hamam al-Hammami, who attempted to hijack a passenger airliner, had been actively expressing himself online long before the incident. British journalists discovered his old social media posts in archives, painting a portrait of a person with deep psychological disorders and a tendency toward cruelty. At the center of his posts was a pathological hatred of women, accompanied by open threats of physical violence. Particular attention was drawn to his 2022 comment in which he justified beating a woman by drawing a direct parallel with Russia's actions against Ukraine: "He gave her a preventive slap to change her borders, just as Russia slapped Ukraine to adjust its borders :)". In other messages, he threatened women with violence, promised to "crush their heads" for the slightest offense, insulted women from the Gulf countries, and left homophobic comments. The investigation into the attempted hijacking of the Flydubai airliner is gaining new alarming details.
