18 Israelis were arrested today (Monday) in the West Bank on suspicion of attacking security forces and disrupting their operations during enforcement against illegal construction near the village of Salfit. Dozens of settlers clashed with the forces, set tires on fire, and blocked major roads in the area in an attempt to prevent the forces from arriving. Security forces arrived in the area to carry out renewed enforcement against illegal structures erected in an area designated by order as a closed military zone. During the events, 18 suspects were arrested, and in one of the vehicles seized, flammable materials, assault weapons, and pepper spray were found. The suspects were transferred for questioning in the Judea and Samaria District of the police. Despite the disturbances, the forces managed to clear the blockades and complete the enforcement operation.
