Otzma Yehudit's new demand regarding Sami Abu Shahada
The Otzma Yehudit party, led by Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, has sent an official letter to the Attorney General and the State Attorney demanding the criminal prosecution of Balad chairman Sami Abu Shahada, alleging incitement to terrorism and violence and identification with a terrorist organization. This follows the approval of their request to disqualify his party from running in the Knesset elections.

The demand comes after the party's request to disqualify Abu Shahada and his party, the Joint List, from running in the elections for the 26th Knesset was approved by the Central Elections Committee, but has yet to receive final approval from Supreme Court justices. Minister Ben Gvir responded: "Otzma Yehudit revealed the evidence and submitted the disqualification request – and even the Attorney General and the State Attorney were forced to support the disqualification of Abu Shahada. Whoever praises the Hamas massacre and identifies with terrorists should not only be disqualified – he should be investigated and put on trial. It's time for the Attorney General to stop dragging her feet and do her job. Abu Shahada – out to Syria."
