US President Donald Trump defended his decision to launch a military campaign against Iran, despite concerns over its impact on oil and fuel prices in the United States. In an exclusive interview with Fox News reporter Molly Line, conducted last night (Saturday) behind the scenes of a campaign rally and published today (Sunday), Trump said: "I thought oil would be much higher when I did this, and I knew it was not politically good." He added: "I don't see things politically." Trump described Iran as "the number one state sponsor of terror" and its leaders as "very, very tough and very evil." According to him, the American economy was functioning well even before the operation, and he felt obligated to go through with it. Vice President JD Vance also addressed the issue, admitted that fuel prices are too high, and blamed Iranian attacks on merchant ships and the loss of refining capacity during the Biden administration.
