Ohad Yassin appointed CEO of Microsoft's R&D center in Israel

Microsoft has appointed Ohad Yassin as the CEO of its R&D center in Israel. Yassin, a corporate vice president responsible for sovereign cloud operations, will assume the role in November, replacing Michal Braverman-Blumenstyk. He will continue to serve in his current position concurrently.

Microsoft announced today the appointment of Ohad Yassin as the CEO of its R&D center in Israel. Yassin, a corporate vice president at the company, will take up the position in November, replacing Michal Braverman-Blumenstyk, who has held the role for the past six and a half years. Yassin joined Microsoft in 2014 and played a key role in expanding the local center's operations, including establishing new product groups in cloud, artificial intelligence, software, and hardware. He currently serves as a corporate vice president responsible for Microsoft's sovereign cloud operations, leading the global strategy of the Azure platform while managing teams worldwide. He will continue in this role alongside leading the local R&D center. Yassin holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Reichman University and a master's degree in management science from Tel Aviv University. Before Microsoft, he worked for about ten years at SAP and Israeli startups. Yassin is also a member of the board of directors of the nonprofit organization "Lo Omdot MeNegad." In a press release, Yassin said that the R&D center has been his professional home for over a decade, expressing pride and excitement about the responsibility to lead it into the next chapter, emphasizing the innovation, boldness, and engineering excellence of the teams.
