At a conference dealing with relations between Israel and the Jewish diaspora, Ofer Winter's candidate, Hassan-Nahum, harshly attacked the World Zionist Organization and called for its closure or comprehensive reform. According to her, 90% of the organization's activity with public funds is dedicated to distributing jobs to members and former politicians, and there are people holding positions without coming to work. She called on party representatives to act together to pass a law that would bring about change. Criticism was also leveled at the conference at the absence of coalition representatives, even though Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli was supposed to participate. MK Oded Forer of Yisrael Beiteinu argued that relations with the Jewish diaspora cannot be restored if Shas and United Torah Judaism are partners in the next government, and that Israel needs a Zionist government.
