Residents of Rahat experienced a night of continuous gunfire for about 12 hours, with no casualties. Residents sharply criticized the police and called for the army to enter the town. A Rahat resident said he hopes the bullets hit a vehicle in a nearby Jewish community to get serious treatment. This is the second such incident within a week.

Residents of Rahat experienced tense hours during the night (Sunday), when around 10:30 PM continuous gunfire began across the town, lasting nearly 12 hours. There are no casualties in the incident, and the police have opened an investigation. Local residents sharply criticized the police's performance. A Rahat resident said in a conversation with i24NEWS: "I hope one of the bullets hits a car in Lehavim or Mishmar HaNegev so there will be serious treatment." A resident of Gva'ot Bar added: "They are also victims—their normative population is really suffering and they have been crying out for help for years. They say this is not police work, bring the army in." This is the second time within a week. The previous incident occurred last Saturday, when residents of Gva'ot Bar woke up to heavy gunfire from small arms and machine guns that lasted about four hours. Hundreds of worried messages accumulated in local WhatsApp groups. The town clarified that this is not an isolated incident, but the peak of a tense week. The police rejected claims of lack of response and stated that Rahat station officers are operating with reinforced forces. Residents demand a fundamental solution and their right to live in security.
