Campaign posters of the Noam party were plastered on the front of the Memorial Lookout for Staff Sergeant Adi Avitan, may his memory be blessed, in Tiberias, sparking outrage among his family. The fallen soldier's brother, Asaf Avitan, published a scathing post against the party and its chairman, Avi Maoz, calling on him to resign. 'Shame and disgrace that you choose to deface a memorial lookout for election propaganda,' he wrote. Avitan was killed and abducted by Hezbollah on Mount Dov in October 2000, and his body was returned to Israel in 2004. The plastering of posters on the memorial site drew criticism over the use of a memorial site for political propaganda.
