Two suspects in the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Ashkelon were arrested following findings collected at the scene, including security camera footage and mobile phone checks. The victim, who is suspected of belonging to a criminal gang with ties to known crime organizations in the south, was stabbed to death during a violent brawl on Herzl Street in the city. He was with two other friends when the brawl broke out, in which a cold weapon was used. MDA teams called to the scene tried to save his life but were forced to pronounce his death after resuscitation attempts. The two suspects were arrested at their homes hours after the incident and deny any involvement. Their lawyers claim an alibi, and new details about the evidence were revealed in court. One of the lawyers questioned how the suspect's vehicle, in which a licensed airsoft gun was found, connects him to the murder. The judge ruled that at this stage the two will remain in custody due to concerns of obstruction of proceedings and danger.
