Netanyahu's campaign under attack: "No Israeli buys that"
Hili Tropper attacks Benjamin Netanyahu's refusal to establish a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 disaster, following Ronen Bar's lawsuit. Tropper criticizes the Yonatan Urich affair and asserts that no Israeli buys the narrative that Gadi Eisenkot is "Palestine."
Hili Tropper, a member of the Yashar party led by Gadi Eisenkot, sharply attacks Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his refusal to establish a state commission of inquiry into the October 7, 2023 disaster. In an interview with 103FM, Tropper says that the lawsuit filed by former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar against Netanyahu is a direct result of Netanyahu's accusations against him, and that Bar himself preferred a state commission of inquiry. Tropper argues that those with nothing to hide support the commission, and those with something to hide oppose it. He also addresses the Yonatan Urich affair, Netanyahu's close advisor who, according to reports, maintained ties with Qatari elements. Tropper calls this "unfathomable" and "spitting in the face of Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers." Ahead of the elections, Tropper rejects Netanyahu's narrative that the elections are between the right and "Palestine," stating that "no Israeli buys that Gadi Eisenkot is Palestine." He sets four conditions for cooperation with Arab parties in a government led by Eisenkot: recognition of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, acceptance of the values of the Declaration of Independence, support for national service, and recognition of Hamas as a terrorist organization. According to him, no Arab party meets these conditions.
