Gadi Eisenkot in a special statement: "This is dangerous. Netanyahu has been given countless opportunities"
Gadi Eisenkot published a special statement in which he sharply attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the management of the war in Gaza. Eisenkot claimed that the return of the hostages was not initially included in the war's objectives, and that Hamas remains the sovereign in the Strip three years after the massacre. He accused Netanyahu of yielding to his coalition partners and of strategic failure, and pledged that if elected prime minister, he would act within 18 months to remove Hamas from power.
Gadi Eisenkot published a special statement in which he sharply attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the management of the war in the Gaza Strip. Eisenkot claimed that the return of the hostages kidnapped under the government of failure was not initially among the war's objectives, and was only added nine days later after he insisted on it. He noted that three years after the October 7 massacre, Hamas remains the sovereign in the Strip, armed and rearming. Eisenkot accused Netanyahu of a resounding strategic failure, arguing that he received maneuvering room and legitimacy from the public and the world but failed. He claimed that Netanyahu surrenders to his coalition partners, to draft dodgers, and to Hamas, and that as long as Netanyahu is in power, Hamas will remain in power. Eisenkot pledged that from the moment he enters the Prime Minister's office, within 18 months Hamas will no longer control the Gaza Strip, through the Trump outline or by activating military capabilities. He presented his experience as a division commander in Judea and Samaria and in Operation Northern Shield, and pledged leadership based on actions.
