Naftali Bennett unveils B’Yachad party plan to cut bureaucracy, boost support for olim

Former prime minister Naftali Bennett, leading the B'Yachad party, released a plan to cut bureaucracy and boost support for new immigrants (olim) ahead of the October 27 election. The plan includes creating a single office for immigrants, streamlining recognition of foreign degrees, and expanding support for young olim and lone soldiers.

Former prime minister Naftali Bennett, who leads the B’Yachad party, released a detailed plan on Tuesday to cut bureaucracy and boost support for new immigrants (olim) as part of his campaign for the October 27 election. B’Yachad is one of the leading parties in the opposition bloc seeking to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The plan focuses on reducing bureaucracy by creating a single office for every new immigrant to receive benefits and services, rather than dealing with multiple agencies. It also calls for streamlining the recognition of foreign higher education accreditation to make it easier for olim to work in their professions. Bennett emphasized expanding support for young olim to ease their transition into education, the workforce, and Israeli society, aiming to reduce the rate of departures. The party pledged to bring home over 250,000 Israelis who have left the country in recent years. Additional measures include strengthening support for lone soldiers with increased benefits and living stipends, and advancing employment and recreational opportunities for older citizens to combat loneliness. Bennett framed the plan as part of building an Israel where Jews can be safe, earn a living, and build their futures.
