Already on Tuesday, September 22, money will be deposited into the bank accounts of citizens entitled to long-term payments, including the elderly, disabled, and those requiring constant care. The schedule change will affect several categories of state assistance recipients. Specifically, on September 22, Bituah Leumi will transfer old-age, survivors', general disability, work injury, and limited mobility benefits. Care payments, alimony, and benefits for Zion prisoners will also be transferred early. This is a change in the transfer date, not additional holiday payments. Benefit amounts remain unchanged. Earlier, Bituah Leumi adjusted the September payment schedule due to Jewish holidays: unemployment and subsistence benefits were transferred on September 8 before Rosh Hashanah, and child benefits were transferred on September 20. It is reported that since the beginning of 2026, average benefits have increased due to indexation linked to a 2.64% rise in consumer prices. After the latest revision, the average payment across all benefit types is approximately 5,280 shekels. Citizens are advised to check their bank accounts on September 22.
