Mladinov demands Israel allow technocratic committee and international force into Gaza
Nikolay Mladinov called on Israel to immediately allow the entry of the Palestinian technocratic committee and the international stabilization force into Gaza, according to the Trump plan, warning of the repercussions of halting trade with the Strip.
Nikolay Mladinov, the High Representative of the Gaza Peace Council, called on Israel to immediately allow the entry of members of the Palestinian technocratic committee and the international stabilization force into the Strip, according to the plan of US President Donald Trump. This came in a letter Mladinov sent to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Occupied Territories, Yoram Halevy, in response to the decision to suspend the entry of goods into Gaza through trade. Mladinov claimed in his letter that Hamas's extortion of merchants and importers is not a new phenomenon, warning that halting the entry of goods through the private sector could lead to similar pressure on humanitarian aid. He stressed that addressing this problem will not be possible as long as Hamas controls the Strip. Mladinov called on the Israeli government to immediately approve the launch of a pilot program under which the technocratic committee and the stabilization force would begin operating in a limited area of Rafah, currently under the control of the Israeli military, where there is no Hamas presence. The Security Cabinet had approved at the end of July the entry of a limited number of committee members.
