Degel HaTorah chairman, MK Yaakov Asher, harshly attacked this evening (Monday) the election video of the "Israel Tichla" party led by Sharren Haskel. The video shows a Haredi figure pulling a banknote from the pocket of a wounded and bound soldier in a dark room. Asher called the video "anti-Semitic incitement" and warned: "This is a license to spill the blood of Haredim in a style reminiscent of dark periods in history. If a Haredi is harmed as a result of this incitement, the blood is on Sharren Haskel's hands." The video was published under the slogan "Haredim for the future of the state." In the party's statement, the Haredi public was described as "extorting and shirking" and treating soldiers as "a personal ATM and a human shield." The campaign sparked outrage due to the blatant generalization and the use of the image of a Haredi Jew as greedy.
