MDA paramedics partner with SCN to train Jewish security leaders
Magen David Adom paramedics led their 'First 7 Minutes' training program for the Secure Community Network's Security Director Network during SCN's annual Security Summit last month. The training, which follows a partnership between SCN and American Friends of MDA, covered scene assessment, bleeding control, triage, and response coordination for North American Jewish security leaders.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics led their 'First 7 Minutes' training program for the Secure Community Network (SCN) during SCN's annual Security Summit last month. The session marked the first time MDA trained the Security Director Network, a professional body of security directors overseeing operations for federations and national organizations across North America. The training follows a Memorandum of Understanding between SCN and American Friends of MDA. The program included instruction, hands-on practice, and train-the-trainer breakouts on scene assessment, severe bleeding control, triage, and response coordination. Officials from MDA, AFMDA, and SCN emphasized the value of Israeli frontline experience in preparing communities for mass casualty events. The pilot is designed to prepare security directors to deliver the course across more than 550 communities, including summer camps and university campuses. The initiative expands SCN's existing security resources, which include BeAware, Countering Active Threat Training, Stop the Bleed, and other programs.
