MDA medics finish building woman's sukkah for her after treating head injury

A woman in her 60s was injured in Netanya when an iron pole fell and struck her in the head while she was building a sukkah beneath her home in preparation for the Sukkot holiday. A family acquaintance called MDA's 101 emergency hotline, and rapid-response medics Nachman Levy and Netanel Peretz, senior EMT Ben-El Amira, and an ambulance team led by EMT Shmuel Mami arrived and provided initial medical treatment. After determining that the woman's condition was stable and did not require urgent evacuation, the team decided to finish building the sukkah for her. The woman said she was deeply moved, calling the medics 'amazing people' who performed one mitzvah by providing medical treatment and another by building the sukkah. MDA also issued safety guidelines for building and using sukkot, including wearing closed shoes, clearing vegetation, keeping children away during construction, and securing materials on high-rise balconies.
