Fuel shortages also raise transportation costs to $30 or $40 per trip, an amount many families cannot afford. The doctor warns that irregular dialysis sessions pose a risk to patients. The report highlights the case of two children awaiting travel for treatment outside the Strip, with one child's hemoglobin level reaching three. It also links the food crisis to the deteriorating health of kidney patients who need a special diet.
