The State Prosecutor's Office today (Sunday) filed an indictment with the Be'er Sheva District Youth Court against a 17-year-old boy from Ofakim, after he threw a stun grenade at a backyard where about 20 people were present at a birthday celebration. The attendees suffered from ringing in the ears and anxiety as a result of the explosion. According to the indictment, about a week ago, the boy left his home dressed in black with his face covered, approached the house, ensured no one was approaching, and after noticing a passing vehicle, removed the covering and moved away. After a few seconds, he returned, threw the grenade toward the yard with the intent to scare those present, and fled. The grenade hit a shed roof, fell, and exploded. The indictment charges the boy with carrying and transporting weapons and threats. The case was investigated by the Ofakim police station.
