Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip continued on Thursday, breaching the ceasefire agreement, through airstrikes, artillery shelling, demolition operations, and gunfire targeting residential areas and tents of the displaced, particularly in the central and southern parts of the Strip. In the past 24 hours, five Palestinians were martyred and about 40 others were injured as a result of scattered Israeli attacks. Eleven Palestinians, including women and children, were injured by artillery shelling targeting a house near the Sanafour intersection in the al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of Gaza City, while five displaced persons were injured by a strike carried out by an Israeli drone targeting a gathering of displaced persons in the al-Tinah Street area in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis. In the central Strip, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern areas of Deir al-Balah city, and a warplane launched a raid targeting a residential apartment in al-Bureij refugee camp, coinciding with military vehicles opening fire north of the camp. In the southern Strip, Israeli tanks and military vehicles fired intense fire towards the tents of the displaced in the Mawasi area of Rafah, and renewed targeting of tents near the "Basmat Amal" chalet in the same area. These violations continue despite the ceasefire agreement signed in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh on October 10, 2025, with Arab and American mediation, to end the war on the Strip. US President Donald Trump had announced, on July 31, 2026, reaching a "roadmap" to implement the stages of the ceasefire and end the war, while the Palestinian factions announced their approval.
