Singer accidentally revealed she voted for Likud – and is expected to face IDF court-martial
Singer Maya Dadon, who serves in the IDF, accidentally revealed in a photo from election day that she voted for Likud. The IDF announced she is expected to be tried for appearing in uniform alongside a ballot of a political party. Dadon quickly deleted the photo.
Singer Maya Dadon, who serves in the IDF as part of the military bands, shared a photo from election day for the 26th Knesset in which she was seen in uniform alongside a ballot of the Likud party. Minutes later she deleted the post, but the IDF announced she is expected to be tried over the photo. An IDF spokesperson stated: "The soldier documented is expected to be tried according to orders. The IDF is a state and apolitical military. There is an absolute prohibition on using the IDF, its uniforms or its symbols for political purposes." Dadon first posted a photo where the Likud ballot peeked out from the envelope, and after deleting it uploaded a corrected photo where the ballot was hidden, but later removed that as well.
