Mandelblit reveals in his testimony about Case 1000: "It's not some receiving of a cigar or champagne"
Former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit testified in the Netanyahu trial, describing how Hadas Klein's testimony led to the investigation of Case 1000. He stated it involved systematic gift-taking from wealthy individuals, not sporadic events. The defense attorney requested 8 additional days of testimony.
Former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit testified yesterday in court during the Netanyahu trial and revealed new details about Case 1000, the gifts case in which Netanyahu is charged with fraud and breach of trust. Mandelblit said he authorized the investigation of the case following the testimony of Hadas Klein, which he said changed the way he looks at the prosecution's evidence. According to him, "It's not some receiving of a cigar or champagne or something sporadic; it's about the same issue of receiving gifts from wealthy individuals." Mandelblit added that he ordered a halt to contact with journalist Ben Caspit at an early stage of the affair. The defense attorney requested 8 additional days for cross-examination.
