Israel national basketball coach Ariel Beit Halahmy announced he will end his role after the World Cup qualifiers campaign. In a statement released by the Israel Basketball Association, it was reported that during a meeting with chairman Amos Frishman, Beit Halahmy requested not to be considered for another term. Beit Halahmy was appointed to the position in March 2023, and upon completion of the campaign, he will have completed four years in the role. The association has already begun negotiations with Nano Ginsburg as the leading candidate to replace him, with the new coach's first task expected to be in August as part of the Olympic pre-qualifiers. During his tenure, Beit Halahmy led the team to the European Championship and the round of 16, following a victory over France. He noted that he regrets not having coached a game in front of a home crowd in Israel. Beit Halahmy will continue in his role as the professional director of Israel's youth teams.
