Rapper Liyad Meir spoke out against the phenomenon of violence among teenagers, following shocking documentation from a high school in Ashkelon where a young woman was attacked. In a video he posted on Instagram, Meir unequivocally demanded fans who take part in violent incidents or stand by: "Don't listen to my songs or come to my shows. I don't want you there." Meir mentioned the October 7 massacre and wondered how it is possible to organize "a clan of Jews against Jews" after the disaster. He directly addressed teenagers and asked them to think how they would feel if the victim were their brother or mother. The responses online were supportive, and one stood out in particular – a message of thanks on behalf of all mothers and fathers in Israel for Meir not remaining silent and taking an active part in the fight against violence.
