A senior Likud source is threatening United Torah Judaism: if it does not commit to the right-wing bloc, Netanyahu may give up on it as part of the negotiations to form a unity government. The warning comes against the backdrop of the results of the 26th Knesset elections and the possibility of a rotation government with Gadi Eisenkot.

A senior Likud source is threatening United Torah Judaism, against the backdrop of its refusal to commit to the right-wing bloc. In a conversation with Channel 14, the source said that if United Torah Judaism does not define itself as part of the right-wing bloc, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may give up on it as part of the negotiations to form a unity government. The warning comes against the backdrop of the results of the 26th Knesset elections and the possibility of forming a rotation government between Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot. UTJ chairman Yaakov Asher clarified even before the elections that his party belongs to the 'Torah Bloc' and does not commit in advance to supporting Netanyahu. Within UTJ, voices are heard against cooperation with Eisenkot due to his partners Yair Golan and Avigdor Lieberman. The message from Likud is that loyalty is not one-sided.
