"Lies and falsehood": Yashar! denies that Eisenkot promised to add Ra'am

The Yashar! party strongly denied a report by N12 claiming that party chairman Gadi Eisenkot promised to include Ra'am in the next government under his leadership. The party clarified that a coalition partnership would only be possible with parties that recognize the values of the Declaration of Independence, Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, and national service. They also emphasized that parties that do not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization will not be part of the government.

The Yashar! party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, issued a firm denial today (Wednesday) of a report by N12, which claimed that Eisenkot promised to include Ra'am in the next government under his leadership. According to the report, the promise was made during a meeting Eisenkot held with the forum of Bedouin local authority heads in the north, and two local authority heads even confirmed the details. The party described the report as "lies and falsehood" and stressed that such statements were never made, not even hinted at. "A coalition partnership will only be possible with parties that meet the three well-known fundamental principles recognized by the public: recognition of the values of the Declaration of Independence, recognition of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, and national service," the party stated. They further added that parties that do not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization will not be part of the government. The denial comes amid reports of coalition negotiations ahead of the elections, and following the announcement by Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas that Yoav Segalovitz would be placed on his list.
