Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman harshly attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following an interview with former mediator between Israel and Hamas, Sufian Abu Zaida. Liberman accused Netanyahu that Yahya Sinwar "played him like a little kid" and managed to lull him to sleep through a false pretense of negotiations for the return of hostages. Liberman called for the dismissal of Shin Bet chief David Zini following the Fly Dubai failure, and claimed that a disaster was averted thanks to the bravery of citizens, not the government. He accused Netanyahu of a culture of evading responsibility, while referencing the Meron disaster and the October 7 failure. Liberman claimed that his proposal to bring Jordanians into the West Bank was intended to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, and warned that in two and a half years the US would recognize a Palestinian state.
